The University of Guelph is situated in the College Heights area of the city of Guelph, which has a population of about 100,000. The University of Waterloo is located in Waterloo, a twin city to Kitchener. The Kitchener-Waterloo area has a population of over 250,000. Both Universities enjoy the combined benefits of fresh air and uncrowded living, plus easy access (less than an hour drive) to metropolitan Toronto (population over 4,000,000), Canada's largest city.

Take Hwy 6 North at exit 295.

After about 12 km, turn right on Stone Rd., which eventually runs along the southern edge of the campus. Just after the fire station, turn left (at traffic lights) onto Gordon St. Take first right off Gordon onto South Ring Rd. Take first left off South Ring Rd. into parking lot P1 (coin-operated).

Take Hwy 8 West at exit 278B. After about 8 km exit right (at Hwy 7 Eastbound) onto Conestoga Parkway. Stay on Conestoga Parkway (Hwy 86) to Waterloo. After about 8 km take University Avenue West. At University of Waterloo campus main entrance turn right, and right again at kiosk onto ring road; follow signs to (pay) parking lot B1.

Waterloo to Guelph

From road out of parking lot B1, turn right onto campus ring road. Exit left from ring road at kiosk and take immediate left at traffic lights onto University Avenue (Eastbound). Follow University Avenue just over 4 km (crossing Hwy 86) and turn right at traffic lights onto Bridge St. Follow Bridge St. downhill, across the bridge over the river, for 6 km to T-junction. At T-junction turn right, and after 1.5 km turn left on Hwy 7 at the Breslau traffic lights. At 12.6 km from Breslau turn right on Hanlon Expressway (within Guelph) and at sixth interchange exit left onto Stone Rd. 0.5 km after the fire station, turn left (at lights) onto Gordon St. Take first right off Gordon onto South Ring Rd. then first left off South Ring Rd. into parking lot P1 (coin-operated).

Guelph to Waterloo

Leave parking lot P1, turn right on South Ring Rd. and after 100 m turn left onto Gordon St. At first traffic lights, turn right onto Stone Rd. Proceed westbound along Stone Rd. through two sets of traffic lights. After Holiday Inn, turn right onto the Hanlon Expressway. Follow Hanlon to T-junction, turn left onto Hwy 7 (Westbound) to Kitchener. After 12.6 km, turn right (at Breslau traffic lights) onto Waterloo Country Rd. 13, then after 1.5 km turn left. Follow Bridge St. through Bridgeport into Waterloo and exit left on University Ave. at Bechtel Park (traffic lights). After about 4 km turn right at main entrance to Waterloo campus. Turn right at kiosk onto campus ring road, follow signs to (pay) parking lot B1.
